  • Biography: Mason Dodds started Glacier Valley Photography Inc. in 1981 while posted with the RCMP in Stewart, British Columbia. Nestled at the end of the Portland Canal the numerous glaciers and valleys of the Coast Mountains at the south tip of the Alaskan Pan Handle were an inspiration to take a mild interest in photography to the next level. The next 20 years were spent in numerous communities of Northern British Columbia where Mason's photographic skills improved, acquisition of photographic equipment grew, as did the passion for the art of photography. After 35 years the spurs were hung up and a residential based photography studio was opened up in Vulcan, Alberta. Along with traditional landscape and portrait photography, a very different style has been worked on that Mason calls "Touched by Rembrandt". What is interesting about the sample image is that the only Photoshop effect is the edging of the image. Mason is also affiliated with the Professional Photographers of Canada and the Alberta Professional Photographers Association.

  • Biography: Photography has been Elfie's hobby for quite some time, however since retirement in 2005 after 32 years of software development from a software company in Calgary, she has been able to spend a lot more time at it. Her first CANON DSLR was a retirement present and she has been adding to it ever since. Living in Southern Alberta by a lake gives Elfie plenty of photo opportunities. From her house she can watch the Bald Eagles, Pelicans, Ospreys and other Hawks, Coyotes and Deer. Another favorite subject of Elfie's is horses - luckily one of her friends breeds horses and gives her access to them for photography.

  • Contact: 403-651-7908 | euan@serranostudios.com | www.serranostudios.com/
  • Biography: Woodworking is the medium Euan uses to express his creative ideas. Furniture is the 'canvas' that he 'paints' on. On the basic structure of a piece of furniture, Euan places his distinct concepts of aptness and beauty. Sometimes these are wildly exuberant while other times they are delicately constrained. This own personal designs tend toward a biomorphic look, with flowing curves and shapes that are influenced by the rhythms and values in nature. These elements were prominent in the art nouveau style of furniture. The shape ends up having a higher value than the functionality of the piece, more like sculpture masquerading as furniture. Gently curved legs supporting an asymmetrical table surface, even the legs breaking through the table surface. Cabinets that bulge out of the wall. Armoires with doors that open like peeling a leaf off a bulb.
